Flamingo beach holiday village (May 2015)

This was my first time writing a review on trip advisor, however we had such an amazing time I felt it was 100% needed and deserved. I wanted the hotel to get the credit it deserves! It was our first holiday abroad with at the time our 11 month old daughter, so quite expected we were a little apprehensive and nervous. Literally could not fault anything about the hotel, we had a superior beachfront apartment which had stunning views overlooking the beach and ocean. The room was very spacious, clean, modern and well equipped for what we needed for our week away. We paid slightly extra for the superior room which was worth it and requested the beach front bungalows. The food was absolutely gorgeous, trust me when it comes to quality of food I’m very picky and fussy but I had nothing to complain about here. The choice was also second to none for even the fussiest of eaters their was always something on offer! The food was by far the best I’ve ever had at a all inclusive resort, we ate at the green and grill most days for lunch as we preferred it over the ‘el chef’ as we generally found it quieter and closer to the pool. Included in our ‘al’ package we had a evening visit to green and grill, the tex mex, la bambola Italian and tavern by the sea. Tavern by the sea was fantastic, it was by far one of the best meals we’ve ever had, the staff couldn’t do more for us and our little girl. Couldn’t believe my eyes though how rude one family were, no manners at all once they had finished they literally walked out before their deserts gave with no thank you or bye. Manners don’t cost anything is something I was always taught, especially after the staff were so fantastic. Anyway the holiday village is fantastic for families with younger children, it’s definetly one of the smaller holiday villages so I’ve no idea how it would manage in peak season I’ll be honest but I’d definetly say it’s more suited to families with younger children. Rooms are lovely, spacious and modern I’m pretty sure they were recently refurbished in the past couple of years. The pools are lovely and we never had a problem getting sunbeds, as mentioned before I can imagine peak season being a struggle, but everything is constantly cleaned and well maintained. The location is fantastic right on flamingo beach, a lovely 20 minute stroll into playa blanca along the beach front. My only complaint and it’s a small one is the atmosphere of the entertainment in the evening, the entertainment is indoors which could be very stuffy at times and would be much better outside considering the climate. Just a quick mention that the entertainment is like all holiday villages very much same kind of stuff each night aimed at children so don’t go expecting anything else. I am aware though it’s changing from a holiday village to a ‘family life’ resort from next season so this could change. Couldn’t have wished for a better first holiday abroad with our little girl and we’ve actually visited 3 more holiday villages since then, so that gives people an idea of how much we loved it!
